SMS Opt-In Policy & Procedure

1. Purpose

This document describes how Direct Solar LLC (doing business as "Direct Solar Pros," "DSP," "we") obtains consent from visitors to receive SMS text messages, what types of messages we send, and how recipients can opt out at any time.

2. Recipients

SMS messages from our Direct Solar LLC messaging number are sent exclusively to:

Individuals who voluntarily submit their phone number through the chat widget at directsolarpro.com while initiating a support inquiry
Individuals who have provided explicit consent to receive SMS messages in response to that inquiry

We do not send SMS to:

Phone numbers obtained from any source other than the chat widget opt-in described in Section 3
Anyone who has not provided explicit, affirmative consent
Anyone who has opted out

Mobile phone numbers and consent data are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. All consent information collected through the chat widget is used solely to deliver the messages described in this document.

3. Opt-In Process

Visitors provide consent to receive SMS messages from Direct Solar LLC by submitting their mobile phone number through the live chat widget on directsolarpro.com. The chat widget displays the following consent disclosure immediately adjacent to the phone-number field, before the visitor submits any information:

Submitting the phone number constitutes affirmative consent to receive SMS messages in connection with the inquiry. Each opt-in is logged with the timestamp, the IP address from which the form was submitted, and the exact consent language displayed at the time of opt-in. Phone numbers obtained outside this process are never added to the SMS recipient list.

4. Message Types

Direct Solar LLC sends only customer care and transactional support messages in response to inquiries initiated through the chat widget. Message types include:

Initial acknowledgements of inbound inquiries
Follow-up communications related to an existing inquiry
Responses to support requests
Appointment-coordination messages (scheduling a callback or follow-up)
Status updates on open support tickets

Representative sample messages:

Hi! This is Direct Solar LLC. We received your recent inquiry and a team member will follow up shortly. Reply STOP to unsubscribe.

Hello from Direct Solar LLC. We are following up regarding your support request. Please let us know if you still need assistance. Reply STOP to unsubscribe.

We do not send marketing messages, promotional offers, sales pitches, newsletters, or any unsolicited content through this messaging channel. All messages are direct responses to or follow-ups on inquiries the recipient initiated.

5. Opt-Out Process

Recipients can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. Upon receiving a STOP reply:

The recipient is removed from all Direct Solar LLC SMS recipient lists immediately
A one-time confirmation message is sent acknowledging the opt-out
No further SMS messages will be sent to that number unless the recipient affirmatively re-subscribes through the chat widget
The opt-out is recorded in our internal compliance log with timestamp

Recipients may also reply HELP at any time to receive support contact information, including the email address admin@directsolarpro.com and the phone number (346) 795-1694.

6. Expected Volume

Recipient pool: low — limited to individuals who initiate contact via the chat widget
Message frequency: varies based on each recipient's support interaction; typically 1–5 messages per inquiry
Estimated total outbound SMS: approximately 500–1,000 messages per month

7. Data Handling & Retention

Phone numbers collected through the chat widget are stored in our customer-relationship management system and used solely to deliver the SMS messages described in this document. Phone numbers and consent data are not sold, leased, rented, or otherwise shared with third parties or affiliates for any purpose, including marketing. Numbers are removed from the active SMS list immediately upon opt-out, and consent records are retained for the period required by applicable law and carrier-compliance requirements.
